LVDS to DVI-D Converter

From deep inside of the Hollowed Out Volcano we asked ourselves, why is there no proper plug in solution for converting a 34 Pin LVDS Display Signal to a usable digital format? So we designed one. 

The only product of its type that can plug in to a 34Pin LVDS Header, provide pass through to the original LCD screen (with no effects on picture quality) and most importantly provide a secondary output of the video signal. 

The Video data is presented on a common 24+1 Pin Female DVI-D port and a DVI-D to HDMI adapter is included in the box with the unit.

Q: What is it?

A: A custom designed, robust & reliable, video output converter board for that directly plugs in to the host system with no permanent modifications.

Q. What’s it for?

A: It provides a DVI-D Video output signal of the existing LCD screen while retaining the existing LCD screen functionality.

Q: Does it support Audio?

A: No, it only converts the existing LVDS Video signal into the DVI-D format.

Q: Is DVI-D compatible with HDMI?

A: Yes, a DVI-D signal can be converted to a Video only HDMI compatible signal with the use of a simple passive adapter. A DVI-D to HDMI passive adapter is included with the converter.

Q: What Resolution does it output? Can it change the resolution of the source?

A: The converter outputs the same resolution as the source. If the Input is 1366 x 768 the output will be 1366 x 768. It cannot change the resolution of the source.

Q: Are there any settings or setup software required?

A: No, there are no user configurable settings for the converter or software required. Once it is installed and the host machine is powered on it will start outputting a video signal.

Q: Does it require any tools to install?

A: No, it is plug and play, you will spend more time routing the video cable out of the cabinet than you will installing the converter.
